Abstract:
A power transmission device according to one aspect of the present invention is provided with: a first coil for contactlessly transmitting power to a second coil of a power reception device; a converter which receives DC power, converts said DC power into AC power, and supplies said AC power to the first coil; and a controller which executes power control for making the power supplied to a load approach a desired power. The controller executes, as the power control, frequency control of the AC power, and phase shift control of the converter and/or voltage control of the DC power. In cases when the power supplied to the load cannot be made to approach the desired power by the frequency control, the controller executes the phase shift control and/or the voltage control.
