Abstract:
This power transmission device (1) is provided with an oil sump (6) for storing oil (OL) in a case (2) that accommodates a transmission gear (4). The oil (OL) in the oil sump (6) is injected from a supply port (12) to the transmission gear (4) after passing through a lubrication passage (10) from a lubrication pump (8). A connection part (32) is provided to an outer portion of the case (2) at the lubrication passage (10). In the lubrication passage (10), a directional control valve (14) is provided upstream of the connection part (32) and downstream of the lubrication pump (8). The directional control valve (14) opens the lubrication passage (10) in a state in which the hydraulic pressure (P1) inside the lubrication passage (10) exceeds a predetermined value (V1), and closes the lubrication passage (10) in a state in which the hydraulic pressure (P1) is equal to or below the predetermined value (V1).
