Abstract:
This power transmission device (101) is provided with: a high-frequency power circuit (13) for converting a DC power supply (15) to a high-frequency power having a switching frequency; a transmission coil (10) connected to the high-frequency power circuit (13) and magnetically coupled with the receiving coil (20) of a power receiving device (201); and a transmission resonant capacitor connected to the transmission coil (10) and constituting a resonant circuit together with the transmission coil (10). The transmission coil (10) has such flexibility that a coil opening can be closed. The transmission resonant capacitor has a capacitance set such that while the transmission coil (10) is being opened, the resonant operation is achieved at the switching frequency equal to the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit and while the transmission coil (10) is being substantially closed, the resonant operation is not achieved at the switching frequency equal to the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit.
