Abstract:
A power transmission device, comprising an input shaft (20) and an input disk (21), an output shaft (30) and an output disk (31), rollers (50) rolling in contact with the input disk (21) and the output disk (31), and a load control mechanism formed of a carrier (40) rotatingly and revolvingly supporting the rollers (50) and a cam ring (60) having a cam face (61) to automatically increase a normal load pressing the rollers (50) against both disks (21) and (31) when the rotational speed of the output shaft (30) is smaller than a specified value. Thus, the structure of the power transmission device can be simplified, the manufacturing cost thereof can be lowered, a stable traction force can be provided since a minimum normal load is applied thereon at all times, and the durability thereof can be increased since an undue load is not applied thereto.
