This power transmission device is provided with a plurality of arms capable of turning about an output rotating shaft as a fulcrum and linked to the output rotating shaft via a plurality of one-way rotation mechanisms, a plurality of elastic bodies for respectively urging the plurality of arms in the direction of rotation allowed by the one-way rotation mechanisms, a drive rotating shaft parallel with the output rotating shaft and rotated by a drive source, and a plurality of pins linked in parallel to the drive rotating shaft so as to rotate with the drive rotating shaft and capable of coming into contact respectively with the distal ends of the plurality of arms; the power transmission device being configured so that each of the plurality of arms, when under contact by each of the plurality of pins, is pushed back in the direction of resisting against the urging force of each of the plurality of elastic bodies by the pressure of the pins, storing elastic energy in the elastic bodies, and when each of the plurality of pins is released from contact, the urging force from the elastic energy stored in each of the elastic bodies causes the arms to be turnably driven in the direction of rotation allowed by the one-way rotation mechanisms.
