Abstract:

A power transmission device is provided which makes it possible to smoothly perform a clutch operation in a state in which the engine braking has been generated. A pressure member (5a, 5b) comprises: a first pressure member (5a) which can be moved by the pressing force of an interlocking member (9) in a direction that creates contact pressure to a drive-side clutch plate (6) and a driven-side clutch plate (7); a second pressure member (5b) which can be moved by the actuating force of an actuating member (10) in a direction that releases the contact pressure on the drive-side clutch plate (6) and the driven-side clutch plate (7); and a back torque transmission cam which, when a rotary force is inputted to a clutch member (4) via the output shaft (3) in the process of a weight member (8) moving from an outer diameter position to an inner diameter position and the first pressure member (5a) moves following the interlocking member (9), moves the second pressure member (5b) relative to the first pressure member (5a) to allow holding the contact pressure between the drive-side clutch plate (6) and the driven-side clutch plate (7).
