Abstract:
A power transmission device is disclosed. The power transmission device may comprise: a drive motor including a motor housing which is open at the front and rear surfaces thereof, a front cover which is coupled to the front surface of the motor housing, a rear cover which is coupled to the rear surface of the motor housing, a stator which is fixed in the motor housing and generates a magnetic field, a rotor which is disposed radially inside the stator with a predetermined gap therebetween and is rotated by the magnetic field generated by the stator, a motor shaft which is coupled to the rotor to be rotated together with the rotor and extends in the longitudinal direction to pass through the front cover and the rear cover, and a driving gear which is provided at one end of the motor shaft that passes through the front cover and protrudes out of the motor housing; a drum which includes a drum disk portion disposed at one surface thereof in the wheel-axis direction and a cylindrical portion extending in the wheel-axis direction from the outer diameter end of the drum disk portion, and encompasses the drive motor; a drum cover which is coupled to the other surface of the drum in the wheel-axis direction and has a driven gear provided in the outer diameter portion thereof and meshed with the driving gear; a wheel hub on which a tire is mounted and which is coupled to the drum to be rotated together with the drum; and a brake which is disposed between the front cover and the motor shaft and selectively brakes the motor shaft.
