Abstract:
A propeller shaft (PS1), which is a power transmission shaft, is arranged between a vehicle-side first shaft section and second shaft section, and a first tube (1), serving as a first shaft member, is connected to the first shaft section via a first joint member (4) and to the second shaft section via a second joint member (5). The first tube (1) is connected to the first joint member (4) via a first collar member (2), and is connected to the second joint member (5) via a second collar member (3). The first collar member (2) has a first main body section (21) that is exposed from a first end part (11) of the first tube (1), and a first insertion section (22) that is inserted into the interior of the first end part (11) of the first tube (1). In at least the first collar member (2) the maximum value of the outer diameter of the first main body section (21) is set so as to be no greater than the maximum value of the outer diameter of the first insertion section (22).
