Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a power transmission system capable of efficiently transmitting power when a cell (204) is charged by a system on the power-receiving side. [Solution] This power transmission system (100) comprises at least: a power transmission antenna (102) that receives AC power input and constitutes a series resonator having an inductance component (L 1) and a capacitance component (C 1); a power reception antenna (201) that receives electromagnetic energy from the power transmission antenna (102) via an electromagnetic field and that constitutes a series resonator having an inductance component (L 2) and a capacitance component (C 2); a rectification unit for rectifying the output from the power reception antenna (201) into DC power and outputting the DC power; and a load for inputting the output from the rectification unit; wherein the power transmission system (100) is characterized in that each component and coefficient have a predetermined relationship, where R is the load resistance and where instances are included in which k is the coupling coefficient between the power transmission antenna (102) and the power reception antenna (201).
