Abstract:
To make a power unit room more compact by arranging, with great space efficiency, an inverter and an electronic control unit in the power unit room. Powertrain system elements including a transverse engine (4) and a motor/generator (6) are arranged in a front room (1). In this power train system element arrangement structure for FF plug-in hybrid vehicles, an inverter (12) that is connected to the motor/generator (6) is arranged in the front room (1). An engine controller (11) and a transmission controller (14) that control the power train system are arranged layered and overlapped, in a vehicle upper space of the inverter (12).
