Abstract:
The present invention relates to a precursor of a positive electrode active material, which is represented by the following chemical formula 1 and has a full width at half maximum ratio ((001)/(100)) between the (001) plane and (100) plane of 0.8 to 2.0 in X-ray diffraction spectrum analysis. [Chemical formula 1] Ni(1-x-y-z)CoxMnyAz(OH1-a)2 In chemical formula 1, A is one or more selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, a group 13 element, a group 14 element, a group 15 element, a group 16 element, a group 17 element, a transition metal, and a rare-earth element, and 0 < x ≤ 0.2, 0 < y ≤ 0.1, 0 ≤ z ≤ 0.05, and 0 < a ≤0.5. A secondary battery comprising a positive electrode active material prepared by using the precursor thereof, according to the present invention, has the effect of improving the discharge capacity and high-temperature storage characteristics of the secondary battery.
