Abstract:
Disclosed are prediction markers for brain injury in preterm infants, a prediction model, and a system. After brain injury, due to damage to the blood-brain barrier and the cytoskeleton, various biological markers may be released into the cerebrospinal fluid and reach peripheral blood via the blood-brain barrier. In neonatal brain injury, a biological marker may be detected in peripheral blood shortly after injury, and the degree and prognosis of brain injury can be predicted. Invasive mechanical ventilation time, acidosis, frequent apnea, and plateletcrit > 0.27 are post-birth independent risk factors for the occurrence of BIPI in preterm low birth weight infants. The occurrence of preterm infant BIPI can be better predicted by constructing a regression model using invasive mechanical ventilation time (days), acidosis, frequent apnea, plateletcrit > 0.27, serum S100β protein levels (ng/ml) the first day after birth, serum B-FABP levels (ng/ml) the first and seventh days after birth, LVD (mm), and IHD (mm).
