Abstract:
The prevent invention generates a predictive image using a method with which it is easy to execute parallel processing over a plurality of pixels when referring to an unfiltered reference pixel value and deriving each pixel of the predictive image in accordance with the distance from a reference area. A predictive pixel value constituting a predictive image is derived by applying weighted addition using a weighting coefficient to a filtered predictive pixel value and at least one or more unfiltered reference pixel values of subject pixels in a predictive block, a weighting coefficient for the unfiltered reference pixel value being derived as the product of a coefficient of reference intensity determined in accordance with the direction of prediction indicated by a prediction mode and a distance weight that monotonously decreases as a result of increase in the reference distance to the subject pixel.
