Abstract:
Adhesive/sealant with lower thermal conductivity used for insulated glass units (IGUs) and gas filled insulation construction panels (GFPs), said adhesive/sealant comprising hollow mineral and/or organic microspheres in its structure. The thermal conductivity of the adhesive/sealant is less than 0.30 W/mK, preferably less than 0.25 W/mK. Chemical and mechanical properties of such adhesive/sealant mass are comparable to existing sealants used for IGUs and GFPs.

AMENDED CLAIMS

PATENT CLAIMS

1. Panel used for building which is sealed along the edges with adhesive/sealant mass, said adhesive/sealant mass having tensile strength approximately between 0,6 to 1,2 MPa and hardness from 30 to 60 Shore A, characterized in that an adhesive/sealant mass is based on polysulfide, and further that adhesive/sealant mass comprises organic hollow microspheres, or alternatively, combination of mineral and organic hollow microspheres, and further that the thermal conductivity of said adhesive/sealant mass is less than 0,30 W/ mK, preferably less than 0,25 WV mK.

2. Building panel according to claim 1, characterized in that the adhesive/sealant mass comprises hollow microspheres on basis of organic polymers in size of 10 - 300 μπι, preferably 10 - 150 μιη, even more preferably 10 - 100 μιη.

3. Building panel according to claim 1, characterized in that the adhesive/sealant mass comprises 5 vol. % to 60 vol. %, preferably between 20 vol. % to 40 vol. % hollow microspheres relative to whole adhesive/sealant volume.

Building panel according to claim 6 1, characterized in that the adhesive/sealant mass comprises hollow microspheres on basis of organic polymers in size of 10 - 300 μπι, preferably 10 - 150 μπι, even more preferably 10 - 100 μπι, and mineral hollow microspheres in size of 5 - 300 μπι, preferably 5 - 150 μηι, even more preferably 5 - 100 μπι.

Building panel according to claim 6 1, characterized in that the adhesive/sealant mass comprises 5 vol. % to 60 vol. %, hollow mineral and organic microspheres relative to whole adhesive/sealant volume. 6. Building panel according to any previous claims, characterized in that it comprises additives for self extinguishing of fire.

7. Building panel according to any previous claims, characterized in that the additives for self extinguishing of fire are chosen from inorganic hydroxides such as Al(OH)3 and Mg(OH)2 , additives suppressing the fire in gas phase such as halogenated compounds and Antimony oxides, and substances that form an inert layer: ammonium polyphosphate, melamine and polyol.
