Abstract:

A prefilled syringe configured so that a less amount of gas is administered together with a medical liquid. A prefilled syringe is provided with an outer tube which has both ends closed, a medical liquid container which is filled with a medical liquid, a sealing member, a pressing section which is used to operate the movement of the medical liquid container, a needle tube, a needle hub, and a seal member. The medical liquid container slides within the outer tube and has one end open and the other end having a bottom. The sealing member seals said end of the medical liquid container. One end of the needle tube is provided with a first needlepoint (9) for insertion into a living organism, and the other end is provided with a second needlepoint for insertion into the sealing member. The needle hub holds the middle part of the needle tube and is connected to one end of the outer tube to dispose the second needlepoint of the needle tube within the outer tube. The seal member seals between the inner peripheral surface of the outer tube and the outer peripheral surface of the medical liquid container. The sealing member is provided with a storage recess for storing gas present within the medical liquid container.
