Abstract:
Control is performed such that, after an air-fuel mixture (G1) in a first region (R1) of a combustion chamber (6) that includes an electrode part (23a) of an ignition device (23) is combusted by receiving ignition energy, SPCCI combustion in which an air-fuel mixture (G2) formed in a second region (R2) situated on an outer peripheral side of the first region (R1) is ignited by itself occurs, and control is performed such that, in a high load operation region (A3) of an SPCCI combustion execution region, the overall air-fuel ratio in the combustion chamber (6) becomes richer than a theoretical air-fuel ratio and the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture (G1) in the first region (R1) becomes leaner than the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture (G2) in the second region (R2).
