Abstract:
A prepaid card information issuing system (10) includes a character string database (25) for storing a plurality of character strings each consisting of a predetermined number of digits, a selection sheet (32) having bar codes (35, 36) for identifying the type and the cost of a prepaid card, a bar code reader (15a) for reading bar codes (35, 36) and inputting the type and the cost of the prepaid card, paid price input means for inputting paid cash price, a prepaid card information generation unit (22) for generating prepaid card information by correlating one of the character strings in the character string database (25) with the aforementioned price when the selected prepaid card price is matched with the paid price, a prepaid card information database (26) for storing prepaid card information, and prepaid card information issuing means (31).
