Abstract:
Disclosed is a preparation method for furfural, relating to the technical field of bio-refining. The method is characterized by comprising the following preparation steps: 1) adding methyl alcohol to finely crushed corncob, and performing solid-liquid separation after stirring and soaking; 2) directly adding methylbenzene and dilute sulphuric acid having a mass concentration of 3% to 10% to the liquid phase after the solid-liquid separation, and performing acidolysis reaction under stirring conditions, wherein the dilute sulphuric acid, the methylbenzene and the corncob of step 1) have a mass ratio of 20~50:15~45:10; and 3) after the acidolysis is complete, separating the water phase and the oil phase after standing, distilling the oil phase to recycle the methylbenzene, and thus obtaining furfural. The solid in the present invention is not subjected to acid processing, and the residual methyl alcohol is volatile and easy to be processed, so does not affect subsequent use. During hydrolysis, methylbenzene is used for continually separating the generated furfural, thereby further helping the hydrolysis to proceed and significantly improving the yield. The methylbenzene can be distilled and recycled.
