Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a preparation method for a high-capacity battery active material and the use thereof. The preparation method comprises: mixing ferric hydroxide colloid with a carbon source, and performing spray drying on the obtained mixed material to obtain carbon-doped nano iron oxide; mixing the nano iron oxide with a lithium source, and sintering same in an inert atmosphere; mixing the sintered material, an organic polymer and an organic solvent, performing wet grinding on same, and performing spray drying on the obtained ground material in a protective atmosphere; and sintering the obtained dried material in an inert atmosphere to obtain a battery active material. In the present invention, the ferric hydroxide colloid is used as an iron source, and the colloid has good dispersity, so that prepared iron oxide particles are small, thus facilitating subsequent preparation of small-particle Li5FeO4; the conductive carbon source is introduced into the ferric hydroxide colloid, thereby not only preventing the melting growth of the material and achieving smaller synthesized particles, but also helping to improve the conductivity of the material; and the organic polymer is added for a sanding process, so that a relatively dense coating layer can form on the surface of the material, thus further improving the stability and the conductivity of the material.
