Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing hyaluronic acid microbeads and a use of the hyaluronic acid microbeads. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for preparing hyaluronic acid microbeads, the method comprising crosslinking hyaluronic acid with one or more ligands selected from the group consisting of alendronate (ALD), adenosine diphosphate (ADP), and adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The hyaluronic microbeads according to the present invention have desirable biocompatibility, biodegradability, and physical stability, and thus may be applied for various uses, for example, as a dental filling material, an orthopedic support material, a cosmetic filler, an anti-adhesive agent, a cell scaffold, and a drug carrier.
