Abstract:
A preparation method for an in-situ nano TiB whisker-reinforced titanium-based composite material, comprising the following steps: S1: choosing nano TiB2 particles and micron-sized TC4 titanium alloy powder, and weighing the two types of powder in proportion in a glove box and putting same in a ball mill tank; S2: putting mixed powder on a planetary ball mill for short-time low-energy ball milling to prepare composite powder in which the nano TiB2 particles are evenly embedded in the surface of the TC4 titanium alloy powder; S3, using the composite powder for selective laser melting (SLM) formation to prepare an in-situ TiB whisker-reinforced titanium-based composite material; and S4: performing stress-relief annealing on an SLM forming sample and a substrate together in a vacuum sintering furnace, and then cutting the sample from the substrate by means of wire cutting. The titanium-based composite material prepared by the method is obvious in grain refinement, has significantly improved strength, hardness and wear resistance, and thus has good application prospects in the fields of aerospace and the like.
