Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a preparation method for meso-2,3-butanediol, comprising the following steps: using renewable biomass as raw material, and producing 2,3-butanediol by means of the fermentation of Klebsiella to obtain a 2,3-butanediol fermentation broth; sequentially performing ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, electrodialysis, and multi-effect evaporation; performing dehydration by using a first rectification column and performing distillation; performing rectification in a second rectification column, and separating 3-hydroxy-2-butanone from the top of the column; extracting 2,3-butanediol at a sidestream; and performing rectification on the 2,3-butanediol extracted at the sidestream in a third rectification column, extracting meso-2,3-butanediol at the sidestream, and adsorbing, by activated carbon, the meso-2,3-butanediol extracted at the sidestream. The meso-2,3-butanediol prepared by means of the method can reach a purity of more than 90%, has a chroma of less than or equal to 10 Hazens, has no peculiar smell, such that excellent antibacterial and preservative capabilities are fully utilized; moreover, the meso-2,3-butanediol is not irritant to skin, thereby satisfying the quality requirements for daily chemical and polymerization-level products.
