Title:
PREPARATION METHOD FOR MULTIPOTENT CELLS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/069962
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a chemical preparation method for multipotent cells derived from skeletal muscle and a use thereof, and provides a chemical preparation method for multipotent cells derived from differentiated mammal cells, comprising the following steps: (a) obtaining differentiated cells from a mammal; and (b) treating the differentiated cells with a compound for inducing the downregulation of p21 to obtain multipotent cells. It is possible to provide myogenic lineage, adipogenic lineage, osteogenic lineage or neurogenic lineage using the preparation method for multipotent or totipotent cells of the present invention. A chemical-based approach is important for developing strategies for inducing limb regeneration in a mammal, and a novel approach to develop multipotent or totipotent cells from terminally differentiated cells is suggested.
