Abstract:
The present invention provides a preparation method of rivastigmine and its
intermediates. The present invention provides a preparation method of the formula
(1) compound by reacting the formula (2) compound with CH3X or CH3CH2X
in the presence of base, wherein X is a suitable leaving-group; R is methyl or ethyl;
when R is methyl, the formula (2) compound is reacted with CH3CH2X;
when R is ethyl, the formula (2) compound is reacted with CH3X. The preparation
method according to the invention does not utilize ethylmethylcarbamoylchloride.
