Abstract:
A preparation process for a forged elbow includes (1) forging a pipe punching a forged rod to a forged pipe after fixing the forged rod. wherein the eccentricity (5) of the forged pipe is 4 to 6 percent of wall thickness of the finished elbow, (2) bending a pipe bending the forged pipe to form an elbow by utilizing the thinner semi-circular pipe wall of the forged pipe as an inner ring (1) of the elbow and the thicker semi-circular pipe wall as an outer ring (2) of the elbow after heat treatment. The process can provide an elbow with relatively uniform wall thickness of the inner and outer rings.
