Abstract:
Provided is a novel presence determination device whereby presence in a detection region of a user can be determined with excellent precision. A presence determination device 10 for determining whether an organism A is present in a detection region 36, wherein the presence determination device 10 has a flexible piezoelectric sensor sheet 12 which is laid in the detection region 36 and which outputs a detection signal corresponding to an input vibration, a ballistic heart motion signal acquisition unit 40 for extracting a ballistic heart motion signal corresponding to ballistic heart motion from a detection signal of the piezoelectric sensor sheet 12, and an absence determination unit 44 for making an absence determination which indicates that the organism A is not present in the detection region 36 on the basis of the ballistic heart motion signal, the absence determination unit 44 making an absence determination when a state in which the ballistic heart motion signal is less than an absence threshold value α continues for more than an absence determination time.
