Abstract:
Provided is a press brake with which it is possible to improve shaping accuracy during partial bending. This press brake is provided with: a conveying mechanism for intermittently conveying a workpiece; a die including a pair of shoulder portions which are disposed separated from one another in the workpiece conveying direction and which support a rear surface of the workpiece, and a groove portion formed between the pair of shoulder portions; a backup plate which spans above the pair of shoulder portions and covers the groove portion, and which is interposed between the die and the workpiece; and a punch which moves relative to the die in such a way as to approach the die each time the conveying mechanism stops conveying, and which presses the workpiece in such a way as to bend the workpiece within an elastic deformation region of the backup plate.
