Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to be able to achieve a high level of balance for insertion force, holding force, and contact area relating to a press-fit terminal of plate thickness 0.75-0.85 mm (inclusive). This press-fit terminal comprises a press-fit unit including two contact pieces facing each other across an eye hole. Each of the two contact pieces includes parallel parts that are mutually parallel, a front spring part, and a rear spring part. The thickness of the press-fit unit is 0.75-0.85 mm (inclusive). When the front side spring strength is G1 [mm3] and the rear spring strength is G2 [mm3] with regards to the press-fit unit, G1 + G2 is 0.03-0.08 (inclusive), and furthermore, when the incline of the front spring part with respect to the insertion direction of the press-fit unit is θ, G1tan θ is 0.0024-0.0070 (inclusive).
