Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enable a plating-formed portion in a press-fit terminal to more reliably contact an inner surface of a through-hole. The press-fit terminal is inserted into a through-hole formed in a substrate, the press-fit terminal comprising a distal end section, a proximal end section, and a press-fit section between the distal end section and the proximal end section, wherein: plating layers are formed on at least both sides in the thickness direction in the pres-fit section; the press-fit section includes two contact pieces facing each other with an elongated hole therebetween; the two contact pieces protrude toward sides opposite to each other in the thickness direction of the press-fit section; and the press-fit section includes a thickness-wise abutment section of which the thickness-direction dimension is greater than the width-direction dimension.
