Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide a press-fitted bolt in which high fixing strength of the bolt relative to the parent material can be achieved without providing a crimped part, and in which there is no roughening on the surface of the parent material that is the seating surface of the nut and is on the opposite side from head of the bolt. The bolt comprises a head (11), a threaded part (12), and a knurled part (13) formed in the base side of the threaded part (12) and fixed to the parent material (2) by being press-fitted in a bottom hole (21) formed in the parent material (2). Furthermore, formed between the threaded part (12) and the knurled part (13) is a ridge (14) for absorbing the extra thickness of the parent material (2) when the press-fitted bolt (1) is press-fitted into the parent material (2), the ridge having a diameter (D14) that is greater than the diameter (D12) of the shaft of the threaded part (12) and that is equal to or less than the diameter (D13) of the recesses of the knurled part (13).
