Abstract:
The control device (40) of a press machine has a top dead center detection unit (44) which detects the top dead center by moving a slide, which is positioned at a prescribed location on either the forward-rotation side or the reverse-rotation side of a main shaft, so as to pass over the top dead center-side and reach the same position as the aforementioned slide position on the other side, and by again moving the slide from the position on the other side to the normal-rotation side by an amount equal to one-half the pulse count as detected by an angle detector during the first movement.
