　Co-rotation of a screw shaft is prevented and the bottom dead center position of an upper die is stabilized by easily eliminating a gap created between a ram and the screw shaft. A press machine (10) that is provided with a drive mechanism (17) for causing an upper die (29) and/or a lower die (12) to move and that machines a workpiece (W) placed between the upper die (29) and the lower die (12), wherein: the drive mechanism (17) has a first drive source (22) for rotating a screw shaft (19) which is a reciprocating component, and a second drive source (24) for rotating a nut (20) that joins with the screw shaft (19); and a structural body (30) including the upper die (29) or the lower die (12) is provided with a casing (39) for rotatably supporting the screw shaft (19), a movable member (40) formed to be capable of moving within the casing (39) and capable of coming in contact with or retracting from the tip portion of the screw shaft (19), and a drive device (41) for causing the movable member (40) to move.
