Abstract:
The present invention is a press machine of a type that vertically moves a ram (17) by rotating a screw member (19). A lower end part of the screw member (19) is provided by integrally mating to inner races (65I, 67I) of bearings (65, 67) that integrally join outer races (65O, 67O) within a bearing holder (69) provided on the ram (17). Between a lower surface (75) of the screw member and a bottom surface (77) of the bearing holder is provided a minute gap (C) that allows relative rotation. The minute gap (C) is set to a gap in which contact arises between the lower surface (75) of the screw member (19) and the bottom surface (77) of the bearing holder, when a load operates on the ram (17) and a minute relative movement arises in the vertical direction between the inner races and the outer races of the bearings (65, 67).
