Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to reduce the pressure for molding molded articles and fill glass fibers adequately even in thin-walled portions of a molded article, also makes it possible to use a feedstock with high glass fiber content, and stabilizes molded article quality. A method for manufacturing a molded article by press-molding an intermediate base material obtained by dispersing reinforcing fibers in a thermoplastic resin using a mold, wherein the heated intermediate base material is pressed using a mold heated to at least 120°C and held in a pressurized state, the mold is cooled while maintaining the pressurized state, and after mold cooling, the pressing pressure is released.
