Abstract:
A press-molding method and a method for manufacturing a press-molded article according to the present invention are methods in which press-molding is performed to achieve a target shape that is a press-molded article 210 that has a top plate part 211, a vertical wall part 215, and a flange part 219 and that is provided with a concave curved portion 221 curving in a concave shape in top view, the methods including: a step (S1) for creating a blank 100 provided with a concave shape 101 corresponding to the curve of the concave curved portion 221; a step (S3) for press-molding the created blank 100 into a press-molded article 110 having an intermediate shape that has a top plate part 111, a vertical wall part 115, and a flange part 119, is provided with a concave curved portion 121 curving in a concave shape in top view, and has a missing part 125 provided to a part of the vertical wall part 115 and the flange part 119 at the curve center section 121a of the concave curved portion 121; and a step (S5) for press-molding the press-molded article 110 having an intermediate shape to the target shape.
