Abstract:
A press working apparatus according to the present disclosure punches a workpiece and comprises: a punch which moves in the pressing direction, and has a pressing surface facing the workpiece and a side surface connected to the pressing surface; a die which has a hollow section where the punch is inserted, and on which the workpiece is placed; a sensor which detects a load applied to the punch; and a control unit which controls the punch, die, and sensor. The control unit generates, on the basis of the load detected by the sensor, a load waveform indicating the relationship between the load and time from the time when the punching is started until the time when the punching is ended, and calculates a wear amount of the punch on the basis of a maximum value of the load in the load waveform and a change in time required to reach the maximum value of the load.
