Abstract:
A pressing belt, characterized in that a reinforcing base material containing a multi-filament (2) impregnated with a focusing agent (12) is buried in an elastic material; and a method for manufacturing the pressing belt. The reinforcing base material preferably consist of s a woven fabric, and the focusing agent (12) preferably contains a thermosetting resin as a primary component. As the focusing agent (12), an agent containing a urethane based resin as a primary component is suitably used. As the reinforcing base material, an organic fiber is preferably used. Further, the focusing agent (12) is preferably imparted in the state of an emulsion to the multi-filament (2) or the reinforcing base material. The above pressing belt is greatly reduced in the occurrence of pinholes.
