Abstract:
The present invention provides a pressing-detection device provided with a pressure-receiving member having a contact surface that is touched by a pressure-application means and has pressure applied thereto and a piezoelectric member that is disposed so as to oppose the pressure-receiving member and includes a polymeric piezoelectric material having a piezoelectric constant (d14) measured by a displacement method at 25°C of 1 pm/V or higher, wherein the ratio (IEb/IEa) of the product (IEb) of the second moment of area (Ib) and the Young's modulus (Eb) of the pressure-receiving member and the product (IEa) of the second moment of area (Ia) and the Young's modulus (Ea) of the piezolectric member is within the range of 102 to 1010.
