Abstract:
A comfortable and convenient diving mask (1) which provides a comfortable and long duration diving by considerably reducing the effects of the water pressure, which has a negative effect on the forehead, face and head. The diving mask is provided with a soft part (2) which is connected to the face contacting surfaces and a soft part (5) which is connected to the mask straps (3), wherein both parts (2, 5) are soft and elastic, closed porous sponge layers connected to the respective parts of the mask.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1) The invention is a mask (1) for divers wherein its feature is to comprise a soft and elastic, closed porous sponge layer (2) which is combined to the face contacting surface part by gluing, sewing or frequency welding, is attached to the body and provides soft and compliant contact with the face, and decreases the pressure applied to the forehead and face.

2) The invention is a mask strap (3) for divers wherein its feature is to comprise a soft and elastic, closed porous sponge layer (5) which is connected to the mask strap (3) that is cut in half and attached by gluing, sewing or frequency welding, and provides soft and compliant contact to the head, and decreases the pressure applied to the head.

3) It (2) belongs to the invention in Claim 1 wherein its feature is to be a closed porous, soft and elastic sponge layer, to be connecting to the mask (1 ) by means of gluing, sewing or frequency welding.

4) It (5) belongs to the invention in Claim 2, wherein its feature is to be a closed porous, soft and elastic sponge layer, to be connected to the mask strap (3) by means of gluing, sewing or frequency welding.

5) The invention is the production method of a mask (1 ) and mask strap (3) wherein its feature is to be comprised of the following procedures;

- The soft part (2) which will be connected to the mask body and the soft part (5) which will be connected to the mask strap is cut;

- The cut materials are glued,

- The soft part (2) which will be connected to mask body is glued to the mask (1)

- The soft part (5) which will be connected to the mask strap is glued to the strap parts (4) that have been cut,

- After the gluing processes, the materials that have been glued are pressed,

- The products become ready to use after the glue dries.

6) The invention is the production method of the mask (1) and mask

strap (3) wherein its feature is to be comprised of the procedures;

- The soft part (2) which will be connected to the mask body and the soft part (5) which will be connected to the mask strap is cut;

- The parts that have been cut into pieces are sewed to the face

contacting part of the mask (1 ) and to the mask strap pieces (4) by means of an appropriate sewing machine.

7) The invention is the production method of a mask (1 ) and mask strap (3) wherein its feature is to be comprised of the procedures;

- The soft part (2) which will be connected to the mask body and the soft part (5) which will be connected to mask strap is cut;

- The parts that have been cut into pieces are welded to the face

contacting part of the mask (1) and to the mask strap pieces (4) by means of frequency welding.

DESCRIPTION

PRESSURE BALANCING SOFT SYSTEM FOR DIVING MASKS Technical Field

The invention is a method for producing a more convenient and more comfortable diving mask. This invention is related to a new mask design that by means of soft and elastic supports to be added to diving masks, balances the pressure on the forehead, the face, the head, and that provides a more comfortable and more prolonged diving.

Prior Art

The main bodies of current diver masks contacting with the face are produced from rubber, silicone, or PVC. Since the parts that contact the face and provide the seal are narrow and is not sufficiently soft, for long-term use, pressure, and the sensation of pressure occurs on the face and leaves the mask mark. In addition, water pressure in deep diving increases with depth, while the pressure at the water surface is about 1.01 bar, it is about 2.00 bar at 10 meters sea depth, is about 2.98 bar at a sea depth of 20 meters, is about 3.97 bar at 30 meters sea depth, is about 4.96 bar at 40 meters sea depth and is about 5.95 bar at 50 meters sea depth. Because of this, the mask increases the pain and leaves the mark on the face by increasing the pressure applied to the forehead, face and head. Since the strap that keeps the mask still on the head is produced from the same material such as rubber, silicone, or PVC, a solid contact is applied to the head, and much more pressure is applied to the rear of the head according to its stretch and pressure. Technical problems to be solved by the invention

To remove the adverse effects of the pressure applied by water to the forehead, face or head in diving masks. To decrease the pressure per unit surface by increasing the contact surface. To balance the pressure by springing as a shock absorber by means of the soft and elastic material used. It is to reduce the pressure and press less. In prolonged diving or prolonged uses, for example; in rugby games, underwater repair and maintenance of ships or boats, prolonged and sport diving, deep diving, in fish farms during control of fishnets, for the people staying a long time under water and picking up bait and mussel, due to the sponge suspension of this mask, it provides comfortable use without leaving marks on the face. While there is a conformity problem to every face in conventional masks, this new mask design easily conforms to any face and fits due to soft and elastic supports. For this reason, the possibility of water leakage is removed.

Disclosure of the Invention

The soft part (2) to be connected to the body, which is glued, sewed, or frequency-welded to the part of the mask (1) in contact with the face, is present. The strap parts (4) which is formed by cutting the mask strap (3) in half have been connected to the soft part (5) to be connected to the mask strap have been connected by gluing, sewing or frequency welding. Thus, soft and comfortable contact is provided to the face and head by covering both the part of the mask (1) which will be in contact with the face, and the soft part (2) which will be connected to the soft and elastic mask body and the mask strap (3) that is in contact with the head and the soft part (5) which will be connected to mask strap. In this way, the pressure applied by the water to the mask (1) and mask strap (3) affects the unit surface less due to the enlarging of pressure surfaces. Also, since the soft part (2) that will be connected to the mask body and the soft part (5) that will be connected to the mask strap is flexible and elastic, it provides comfort and comfortable diving, springing by stretching like a shock absorber. The spongy material, while stretching longitudinally like a rubber, it provides elasticity to balance the pressure by decreasing the thickness (flattening) when pressure is applied on it. The sponge acting as a shock absorber, by providing the pressure dispersal steadily and equally to the whole surface, provides the feeling of less pressure which is concentrated on the forehead, face and head. The invention can be applied to all diving masks. As diving deeper, the pressure increases 1 bar approximately per each 10 meters depth. For example, approximately 6-bar pressure at 50 meters depth, as effecting whole body, also affects the mask. The mask also conducts the pressure to the forehead, face, and rear part of the head. The intermediate sponge layer provides the pressure dispersal on the surface equally by absorbing the pressure as a shock absorber and provides the diver with a more comfortable dive. The sponge coating provides a soft contact to the face, for a more comfortable swim, snorkeling, and diving.

Industrial application of the Invention

The invention is formed by covering the part of the main body of the mask (1) which directly contacts with the face and the part of the mask strap (3) which is in contact with the head, with dosed porous, air and water sealed spongy, soft, and elastic material. The coating process can be easily performed by gluing, sewing, or frequency welding. It can be applied to all kinds of diving masks. The above-mentioned Pressure Balancing Soft System for Diving Masks can be produced and used in any branch of industry and is applicable industrially.
