Claims:
CLAIMS:

1 . A pressure cooker with a vessel housing and a cover to close the pressure cooker housing and enable maintenance of a positive pressure inside the said housing and a pressure regulator means, the said pressure regulator means comprising :- a) a floating pressure regulator having a flat valve seat and a valve stem extends through the cover to provide fluid communication between the interior and exterior of the pressure cooker by means of a pressure relief orifice through the valve, the stem of the pressure regulator hangs from the orifice opening in the cover when the vessel housing is pressurized within a first operating threshold pressure and the flat valve seat is seated against the orifice opening thereby providing no communication between internal and external of the pressure cooker, and as the pressure builds up inside the housing the stem rises upward corresponding with the increasing pressure inside the vessel housing beyond a first operating threshold pressure and the valve seat moves outwardly away from the orifice opening to recreate a fluid communication between the interior and exterior of the pressure cooker thereby releasing the built-up pressure from the vessel housing to the exterior, and b) a fixed deformable diaphragm type pressure regulator comprising of slits formed therein on the first regulator valve seat and which diaphragm is also responsive to the pressure in the vessel housing such as to beyond a second operating threshold pressure to allow communication between internal and external of the pressure cooker, and the said second operating threshold pressure is different from the first operating threshold pressure.

2. The pressure cooker as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the second operating threshold pressure higher than first operating threshold pressure.

3. The pressure cooker as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the second operating threshold pressure is different from first operating threshold pressure.

4. An integrated pressure regulator means for use in a pressure cooker the said integrated pressure regulator comprising :- a. a floating pressure regulator having a flat valve seat and a valve stem extends through the cover to provide fluid communication between the interior and exterior of the pressure cooker by means of a pressure relief orifice through the valve, the stem of the pressure regulator hangs from the orifice opening in the cover when the vessel housing is pressurized within a first operating threshold pressure and the flat valve seat is seated against the orifice opening thereby providing no communication between internal and external of the pressure cooker, and as the pressure builds up inside the housing the stem rises upward corresponding with the increasing pressure inside the vessel housing beyond a first operating threshold pressure and the valve seat moves outwardly away from the orifice opening to recreate a fluid communication between the interior and exterior of the pressure cooker thereby releasing the built-up pressure from the vessel housing to the exterior, and

b. a fixed deformable diaphragm type pressure regulator comprising of slits formed therein on the first regulator valve seat and which diaphragm is also responsive to the pressure in the vessel housing such as to beyond a second operating threshold pressure to allow communication between internal and external of the pressure cooker, and the said second operating threshold pressure is different from the first operating threshold pressure.

The integrated pressure regulator as claimed in claim 4, wherein the fixed pressure regulator is operable at a second threshold pressure wherein second threshold pressure is different form first threshold pressure and the second threshold pressure is higher than first threshold pressure.

The integrated pressure regulator as claimed in claim 4, wherein the fixed pressure regulator is operable at a second threshold pressure wherein second threshold pressure is different from first threshold pressure.

Description:
TITLE: "A PRESSURE COOKER WITH AN INTEGRATED PRESSURE REGULATOR AS SECONDARY SAFETY OPERATING DEVICE MEANS"

FIELD OF INVENTION:

The invention relates to a pressure cookers embodying improved safety means for releasing the excess pressure after the predetermined pressure valve and also ensuring the safety device is operating under predetermined pressure

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:

The first object is to improve the conventional pressure cooker with an improved safety device means when under pressure.

The second object is to improve the conventional pressure cooker with a simple secondary safety device

The third object is to improve the conventional pressure cooker which is operable after the predetermined pressure valve

The fourth object is to improve the conventional pressure cooker which is operable after the predetermined pressure valve and after releasing the excess steam it get backs to its original position

The fifth object is to improve the conventional pressure cooker with a Secondary safety device which is made up of Food grade silicon rubber.

The sixth object is to improve the conventional pressure cooker in which the design of Secondary safety device means is simple at component level.

The seventh object is to improve the conventional pressure cooker with a Secondary safety device means which does not interfere with dimensional constraints on the existing pressure cooker. PRIOR ART:

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:

The invention discloses an improved pressure cooker having a secondary safety device.

The New designed secondary safety device for pressure cooker is for a outer lid pressure-cooking appliance and also the inner lid pressure cooking appliance comprising a pressure vessel, Secondary safety device which is fixed to the lid hole which will be fixed or free floating, when the pressure within the vessel attains a predetermined pressure valve the Secondary safety device seals with the lid and there is a slits on top of the secondary safety device where the sliting size can be varied as to determine the release the excess pressure

The Present invention consists of the following parts:

1 . Secondary safety device

In another aspect, the pressure cooker having an improved safety device means when under pressure.

In another aspect, improve the conventional pressure cooker with a simple secondary safety device which releases the excess pressure after the predetermined valve and after releasing the pressure it retains its original shape

In another aspect, the pressure regulating valve means may include slit arrangement for releasing excess steam.

The secondary safety devices is also called as the pressure regulator device.

The secondary Safety device performs varies functions to ensure safety and functions of the pressure cooker as detailed above.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:

This device ensures that pressure is maintained inside the appliance while cooking above atmospheric pressure. Once the pressure inside the cooker reaches normal cooking pressure, the pressure regulator releases steam thus ensuring that excess pressure does not build up inside the cooker.

This device enables users to operate the pressure cooker in complete safety. The secondary safety device can be used as the visual pressure indicator feature that lets the user know that the cooker is under pressure.

This unique safety system makes the pressure cooker completely safe even if the Pressure Regulator Knob fails to function due to overload or blockage of the Pressure Regulator Vent Tube. If the pressure inside the pressure cooker rises above the normal level due to blockage of the Pressure Regulator Vent Tube, a portion of the Secondary safety device has a slit, and excess pressure in the pressure cooker gently releasing the steam in a safe, controlled manner. The steam is released in a vertical direction. If and when the Controlled Slit Release, the stove should be turned off immediately. Allow the cooker to cool. When there is no pressure and the Visual Pressure Indicator has dropped the cooker can be opened. In addition, if the Pressure Regulator Knob and Vent Tube fails to function for any reason and the internal cooking pressure goes higher than usual, the Secondary safety device will start to operate as a pressure releasing device. This allows excess pressure, heat and steam to escape. Foods that normally foam and froth during cooking of any kind may foam and froth through this larger hole. This is part of the normal cooking process. The Figure 1 .0 shows the secondary safety device in the Zero pressure condition with slit

The Figure 2.0 shows the secondary safety device which is fitted to the cooker for operating

The invention is a novel device which is secondary safety device will be floating condition as it moves upward and downward by if self without any external force, it operates only with the internal pressure raises and lowers. Secondary Safety device will be also be in fixed condition,

The invention is such that the secondary safety device has a Slit which will release, if the Pressure Regulator Knob fails to function due to overload or blockage of the Pressure Regulator Vent Tube. If the pressure inside the pressure cooker rises above the normal level due to blockage of the Pressure Regulator Vent Tube.

Preferably secondary safety device is made up of the food grade rubber as it is safe to use

Alternatively secondary safety device is made of elastic material as it retains its shape after releasing the excess pressure.

The invention aims to claim the secondary safety device which can be in position or any part of the lid or body for operating.

The advantageous exhibited by the product design as per the invention are the following: 1 . Secondary Safety device will be floating condition as it moves upward and downward by if self without any external force, it operates only with the internal pressure raises and lowers.

It further includes specifically a fixed deformable diaphragm type pressure regulator comprising of slits formed therein on the first regulator valve seat and which diaphragm is also responsive to the pressure in the vessel housing such as to beyond a second operating threshold pressure to allow communication between internal and external of the pressure cooker, and the said second operating threshold pressure is different from the first operating threshold pressure.

In another aspect the pressure cooker of the invention has a second operating threshold pressure higher than first operating threshold pressure.

In third aspect the pressure cooker has a second operating threshold pressure which is different from first operating threshold pressure.

Further the invention is related to a pressure regulator means for use in a cooker which pressure regulator in one aspect is an integrated pressure regulator means for use in a pressure cooker the said integrated pressure regulator comprising a floating pressure regulator having a flat valve seat and a valve stem extends through the cover to provide fluid communication between the interior and exterior of the pressure cooker by means of a pressure relief orifice through the valve, the stem of the pressure regulator hangs from the orifice opening in the cover when the vessel housing is pressurized within a first operating threshold pressure and the flat valve seat is seated against the orifice opening thereby providing no communication between internal and external of the pressure cooker, and as the pressure builds up inside the housing the stem rises upward corresponding with the increasing pressure inside the vessel housing beyond a first operating threshold pressure and the valve seat moves outwardly away from the orifice opening to recreate a fluid communication between the interior and exterior of the pressure cooker thereby releasing the built-up pressure from the vessel housing to the exterior. The integrated regulator includes a fixed deformable diaphragm type pressure regulator comprising of slits formed therein on the first regulator valve seat and which diaphragm is also responsive to the pressure in the vessel housing such as to beyond a second operating threshold pressure to allow communication between internal and external of the pressure cooker, and the said second operating threshold pressure is different from the first operating threshold pressure.

In another aspect the integrated pressure regulator will have the fixed pressure regulator operable at a second threshold pressure wherein second threshold pressure is different form first threshold pressure and the second threshold pressure is higher than first threshold pressure.

In another aspect the integrated pressure regulator will have the fixed pressure regulator operable at a second threshold pressure wherein second threshold pressure which is different from first threshold pressure.
