Title:
PRESSURE DIFFERENTIATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/019787
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A pressure differentiator capable of enhancing measurement accuracy. The pressure differentiator comprises a temperature equalizing pressure vessel (1), a thin tube (3) communicating between an object of measurement and the temperature equalizing pressure vessel (1), and a diaphragm type differential manometer (2) for determining pressure difference between the object of measurement and the temperature equalizing pressure vessel (1). A laminar flow exists preferably in the thin tube (3) at the time of measurement. The temperature equalizing pressure vessel (1) may be filled with a temperature equalizing material and thin metallic wires can be employed as the temperature equalizing material. When the object of measurement, i.e. the pressure Ps in the vessel at the lower section, is varied, pressure Pc in the temperature equalizing pressure vessel (1) is also varied with a slight lag. Differentiated value of the Ps can be determined by measuring the pressure difference Pj=Ps-Pc using the diaphragm type differential manometer (2).
