Abstract:

A gasket (11) mounted in a gasket mounting groove (43) which is provided with a back-pressure-side oil pressure passage serving as a gap (44) at the groove bottom surface and which is open toward the inside in the radial direction of a mounting member (41) provided with an oil pressure passage (42). In order to ensure sealing performance with respect to both positive and negative pressure even when the dimensional precision of the gasket mounting groove (43) is reduced, this gasket is provided with: a gasket main body (12) in which a reinforcing ring (13) is embedded; a flange section (14) provided extending radially outward from an end of the gasket main body (12) in one axial direction; a one-side seal lip (15) that is provided extending in the one axial direction and radially inward from the end of the gasket main body (12) in the one axial direction and that, in a mounted state, is in contact with a side surface section (43a) in the one axial direction of the gasket mounting groove (43); and an other-side seal lip (16) that is provided extending in the other axial direction and radially outward from the end of the gasket main body (12) in the other axial direction and that, in a mounted state, is in contact with a bottom surface section (43c) and a side surface section (43b) in the other axial direction of the gasket mounting groove (43).
