Abstract:
A small-sized pressure regulating valve having a liquid-tight structure that requires no sealing means for a fixed valve disc fixing portion and facilitates installation. A pressure regulator (201) has a member for setting the radial position of a fixed valve disc (205) on an inner circumferential surface of a body (203) which has a fuel inlet (215). When a movable valve disc (208) leaves the fixed valve disc (205), the pressure regulating valve is opened. The engagement and disengagement of the movable valve disc (208) with and from the fixed valve disc are determined by a position in which a diaphragm (209) is balanced in accordance with the pressures in a pressure chamber (211) and an atmospheric pressure chamber (213) and a set pressure of a compression coiled spring (214). The pressure in the pressure chamber (211) can be regulated to a predetermined level and maintained at the same level by a simple structure without providing a special seal member. This structure serves to reduce the dimensions of the pressure regulating valve, facilitates installation, and keeps the valve liquid-tight without using a seal means for the mounting part of the fixed valve.
