Abstract:
Provided is a pressure-sensitive adhesive which is effectively odorless, has outstanding hue, has excellent adhesive properties and tack at low-temperatures of around 5°C, and minimal deterioration over time due to heat and/or light. This pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains a liquid rosin ester compound, the rosin ester compound being obtained by reacting a rosin compound and a C1-10 monovalent alcohol compound. The composition has a Gardner color standard of 1 or less, a glass transition temperature not exceeding -20°C, a degree of esterification not exceeding 93wt%, and a ratio (Y'/Y), where Y' is the sum of the peak surface area of the area having a retention time of 16-22 minutes at the sum of the peak surface area sum (Y) during the entire duration of gas chromatography under the following conditions, not exceeding 200ppm.
