Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which comprises a base sheet (1) and a pressure-sensitive
adhesive layer (2) disposed on at least one surface thereof. The pressure-sensitive
adhesive sheet is characterized in that (a) the pressure-sensitive adhesive
layer (2) includes protrudent parts (2b) formed in a parallel stripe arrangement
directly on the surface of the base sheet (1) or on a pressure-sensitive adhesive
base layer (2a) disposed in a given thickness on that surface, the protrudent
parts (2b) being disposed so as to be apart from each other at a given distance and
continuously extending to edge parts of the base sheet (1), and (b) independent
discontinuous protrudent parts (2c, 2c-1, 2c-2, and 2c-3) are present in the
form of islands between adjoining protrudent stripe parts (2b). A feature of
this pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet resides in that air bubbles trapped
when the sheet is applied can be easily removed and the sheet has a satisfactory
appearance and satisfactory tackiness.
