Abstract:
Provided is a pressure sensor package wherein the positional precision of leads and the waterproof performance are high, and also provided is a method for manufacturing the same. When a lead frame with a U-shaped cross-section, having the inner end facing the periphery of a chip-storing recess and the outer end facing the signal-retrieving end face of a casing, is insert molded to a synthetic-resin casing having a chip-storing recess in the depth direction of a pressure receiving end face, a mold provided with receiving concave surfaces abutting, respectively, on the inner end and outer end of the lead frame and protrusions protruding from a reference surface defining the signal-retrieving end face is used. The protrusions of the mold are made to abut on the bends on the outer end side of the lead frame clamped by the mold, and the mold is filled with synthetic resin while the bending angle is set at a fixed value by the protrusions.
