Title:
PRESSURE SENSOR TYPE GLOW PLUG
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/024576
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a pressure sensor type glow plug with which the deposition of carbon and SOF in the gap between the housing and the heater element can be suppressed, thereby preventing constraint of the heater element for a long period of time. This pressure sensor type glow plug, which is inserted into and used in a cylinder of an internal combustion engine, is equipped with: a housing; a rod-shaped heater element, the tip of which protrudes from the housing and is retained in that state; and a pressure sensor. The heater element is retained in the housing by means of a flexible member, and is able to change its position with respect to the housing, and the pressure sensor receives the pressure in the cylinder caused by displacement of the heater element. In addition, a heat-resistant fiber member which supports an oxidation catalyst component is provided in the gap between the housing and the heater element, on the tip-side further from the flexible member.
