Abstract:
Provided are: a pressure sensor-type glow plug that can main air-tightness over the long term by means of a comparatively simple production step; and a method for producing the pressure sensor-type glow plug. In the pressure sensor-type glow plug, which is used inserted into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, a ceramic heater element is provided with: a ceramic heater; a metal outer tube of which one end holds the ceramic heater and the other end is inserted into an inner hole of a housing and affixed; and a conductive section that is electrically connected to one of the electrodes of the ceramic heater and that is led out to the other end of the metal outer tube. The metal outer tube is sealed to the combustion chamber, and the seal is provided to the posterior end side of at least a metal flexible member in the axial direction of the ceramic heater element.
