Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a preview apparatus, etc. with which the degree of dryness (drying quality) of a print can be verified before printing is actually performed. A preview image of the print is displayed by the following procedure. An appropriate actual ink quantity M1, which is the maximum amount of ink per unit image for performing ideal printing, is acquired according to established printing conditions (step S100). The amount of ink to actually be used when performing the printing is calculated per pixel as a predicted actual ink quantity M2 (step S120). By comparing the appropriate actual ink quantity M1 with the predicted actual ink quantity M2 for each pixel, a determination is made as to whether the degree of dryness in the portion corresponding to said pixel in the print is good or bad (steps S130-S134). A preview image is displayed in a mode in which pixels determined to have poor degrees of dryness can be identified (step S150).
