Abstract:
A price card (2) placed near merchandise displayed on a merchandise shelf. The price
card (2) has price display means (8) that has an electronically rewritable screen
provided with visual angle limitation means for limiting a visual angle, sensor
means (9) that senses a person in contact with or approaching the price card (2),
and IC information reading means (10) that, when it finds that the person, whose
contact or approach to the price card (2) is detected by the sensor means (9) by
positioning of their head within that visual angle from the price display means
(8) which is limited by the visual angle limitation means, is in a predetermined readable
range, reads information stored in an IC chip that the person carries.
